Sofia City Court rules against GLOBUL for copyright infringement.
17 July 2009The Sofia City Court has ruled against the mobile operator "Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile" for infringing the copyright of Bulgarian sports journalist Georg Kunchev over the movie "One Bulgarian Summer". The decision has entered into force. In 2004 the company, under the „GLOBUL" trademark for services, has been distributing promotional packages that included the movie „BG football - The Golden trail". In this film some unique footage from the movie "One Bulgarian summer", reflecting the triumph of the Bulgarian national football team at the World Championships in the USA in 1994, were used without the consent of the script-writer Georg Kunchev. "Cosmo Bulgaria Mobile" has to pay the author compensations for the damages, as well as the expenses made during the procedure.
